Home Office Mood Board and Floor Plan

So that's it! My first unti project submitted and returned and so far so good! It wasn't emailed back to me with lots of crosses and distasteful feedback such as 'what where you thinking!', 'this is horrendous' or 'not for you, love!' Haha, I laugh, but I was a little concerned! You never really know when you start something like this for the first time! It really could go either way, although even if it was just plain rubbish I am sure that wouldn't be so awful to shut you down straight away, you are here to learn after all!

Anyway, the project was a little introduction about myself and my future goals for the industry, and then a brief over view of my home office space, complete with $300 shopping list, floor lay out and mood board! I will spare you are the adruous details of the written submission and simply share a little of my project about the home office I wish I could have... of course I say wish... because living in a tiny studio I would simply love to have a bedroom. let alone a home office! Calm down!

Home Office Brief Overview

As much as I try to stick to strict colour themes when designing for myself, I often find myself drawn to a combination of colours that don’t adhere to any strict rules, or what would be considered to be on trend. But I don’t mind. Similarly to our wedding, I chose the theme of neon bolds, using bright shades of pink, purple, orange yellow and blue, toned down with neutral textures on large furnishings, to accentuate and personalise the space in my home office. My dream office is made up of three areas, my admin area with storage and inspiration pictures and quotes in coloured frames, a creative area with large statement lights and a coordinated statement chair, as well as a large wall black board for inspirational ideas and thoughts to be recorded, and finally an outside decking area, because I love to be outdoors and sitting outside in the fresh air will surely clear my brain, ready for inspiration to set in!
