ABOUT ME | decemberumbrellas

Hi everyone! My name is Bonnie, the author of December Umbrellas, Veils and Vows. I am also a believer of forever love, an advocate of eating bubblegum flavoured icecream in the middle of winter, and passionate about finding beauty in the smallest of details!

I am a Primary School Teacher, but have enrolled at the Australian Academy of Wedding and Event Planning, and in the process of completing a Diploma of Wedding Planning, Styling and Design.

After planning our wedding in December 2013 I fell in love with everything weddings and was sad that it was all over! A few months later my new husband and I moved to London to work and travel. The whole experience was so incredible that it broadened my perspective on what I could achieve if I put my heart to it. While I was in London I came across an events academy where I could do some study about wedding planning, styling and design! Perfect! What was even more great about the whole thing was that there was an academy in Australia that I could continue to study through when I got home! So I enrolled and set up this little blog so that people back home, who I all missed so much (xoxoxox) could sort of follow along with what I was learning!

Now I am back in Australia, helping some friends with their wedding planning and styling and loving every minute of my course, which is slowly but surely coming along! My new goals are to complete my diploma, begin developing relationships with some suppliers within the region and dip my toe in to the industry by helping others with their wedding planning and styling.

I have no idea where this course is going to take me, if any where, but I need to be true to myself in deciding what it is I want to do with my life!

I love, love. I want to be surrounded by love all day, so what better way to do that than help others on one of the most romantic days of their lives!
